Danberry Co. raises $37,000 for Toledo Children’s Hospital in 2009

(Toledo, Ohio) ~ With a combination of several small fundraisers, an annual dinner auction and a generous donation from The Toledo Children’s Hospital maintenance department, The Danberry Co. was able to donate $37,000 in 2009 to "The Danberry Treasure Chest", an emergency assistance fund administered by the Toledo Children’s Hospital Foundation. The fund annually assists dozens of families throughout northwestern Ohio and southeastern Michigan who are challenged by a child’s chronic illness as well as financial needs.

Dick Baker, Danberry’s President, commented that "It’s incredibly heart-warming to witness the generosity and caring spirit of so many people in the real estate community during a challenging year. Rather than backing off from our commitment to helping kids with genuine needs, this year’s events were among the best in our 15 years of supporting the charity."

"Over the years we have been able to raise approximately $250,000 which is a tribute to not only members of our Danberry family but also hundreds of community businesses that have contributed items to our charity auction," added Lynn Fruth, Danberry’s CEO. "We are creatively working to find additional ways that more people can get involved," Fruth added.

Established in 1962, The Danberry Company is the region’s real estate market leader with 5 offices and over 250 associates.
